Streaming (and download) services that require licenses are supposed to be a black hole for venture capital. But look at the hundreds of millions of dollars that have been raised since March 2009 by Spotify, Mog, Deezer, Rdio, Guvera, FreeAllMusic, Rara.com and Beyond Oblivion. That?s not to mention the money invested by corporations such as BSkyB in its digital music service, Sky Songs. Also, the CD may be considered as good as dead, but CD sales are growing at distributor CD Baby.
